I had a tote bag made by Kim at Quilting Cove!! It was just beautiful!!! Everyone raved at what beautiful work she did!! I am a sheltie lover and she made one with my Butterscotch's name and color. Thanks Kim!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I worked with Kim her response was immediate. Her workmanship, sense of color and design are excellent. Anyone who takes a look at her website can readily see this.
ReplyDeleteI do like Shelties however I LOVE Border Collies:) Kim embroidered a beautiful black & white BC on a fanny pack for me to carry treats in at Agility trials. The workmanship is lovely and I am very pleased with it.
ReplyDeleteAfter a lot of searching for someone to add a Vizsla design to a jacket I already own with a Great Dane on it I finally found the Quilting Cove. Kim did a great job with exactly what I wanted. The cost was very reasonable and the turn around time to get my jacket back to me was super fast. I would recommend the Quilting Cove to anyone looking for someone to do embroidery work for them.

ReplyDeleteKim of the Quilting Cove, is so easy to work with! She made the most beautiful log cabin quilt with my 3 loves, greyhounds, shelties and county style. The colors are perfect, communication was excellent, the quilty is fantastic and it seemed like no time at all before she finished. I could not be happier! I know a lot of love went into making it!!! Thanks Kim!
ReplyDeleteI had her make me a sweater with my husband's kennel name and a GSD on it in a specific color that wasnt normal to the pattern. It was perfect! He loved it and I was very happy with it!
ReplyDeleteKim is a wizard with a sewing machine and dog show ribbons. She has made my family a total of 6 quilts, the magnum opus being a queen size quilt with oodles of Kristin's Best Junior ribbons from her 8 years in junior showmanship. the quilt is AWESOME to say the least, the hours Kim put into taking apart each ribbon and then making them into a perfectly balanced quilt just boggles my mind, because I sew quite a bit too. To say I was pleased would be an understatement. Kudos to a very very talented lady with whom I am sure i will work again!!!!!!

Kim made me a log cabin quilt with golden pups, adult goldens and cardigan welsh corgis. It is lovely. I couldn't ask for more. She is first rate!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Sheltie passed away at a much younger age than I had ever imagined. Kim made me a wall-hanging quilt from his ribbons. It is beautiful and a wonderful way to remember all the great times we had together. Kim did a beautiful job, and it is truly a work of art. She is a very talented woman.
ReplyDeleteKim made a wall hanging for me from all of my dogs ribbons that he won over his performance career. It is just beautiful. There is a picture of it on her website (Holm quilt), but the picture really doesn't do it justice. Her design and seamstress talents really come through on these quilts. It hangs in my entry way at home and is the focal point when people enter my home. Everyone has commented on how beautiful it is. THANKS KIM!!!

Kim has made three quillows for my family. Each one was unique, fitting the pet she was showing. Everyone who received one fell in love with it and it is in a place of honor in their homes were they can see it all the time. She does beautiful work and there isn't anything she can't do. She is very gifted lady that I would recommend over and over again.

I have had two quillows made by Kim (and received one as a gift). Both have been wonderful. One was a special order that was scanned on the material. It was great. The pictures were a perfect replica of the animals. This is a great "keep sake" gift for anyone, including yourself. Keep up the good work. You are fantastic.

When I lost my agility dog suddenly, I knew I had to have a physical memory of all we had accomplished. Kim did just that in creating a quilt of all of our ribbons, complete with his name and titles. It is something I will treasure forever - thank you Kim for helping me preserve a special part of my boy. The quilt is phenomenal and when I took it to our training facility it brought tears to all who saw it.
ReplyDeleteI ordered a ribbon quilt and a tote bag. Both items turned out GREAT and are proudly displayed in the dog's room (yes...my dogs have their own room) I can't wait for my youngest two dogs to start racking up their ribbons so I can have quilts made for them.

I lost my heart dog in 2006. He was 16.5 years old and I loved every day with him! He was the one to introduce me to the world of dog training, agility and eventually judging. Corky is missed every day. When we moved to a new house, I struggled with parting with anything that I had saved from our years of memories, including my beloved ribbons. When Kim announced on the NADAC list that she made the ribbon blankets, finally I had found a wonderful way to memorialize my Corky. My 2.5 x 3 foot quilt is proudly hung right by my bed, where I can see it all the time. Thank you Kim for your special gift for me and Corky!
ReplyDeleteKim made a beautiful chair back with my eskie's Best of Show ribbon. It is absolutely beautiful and I get alot of compliments on it when I have it at shows. It was a great thing to do with that ribbon - otherwise, it would have just hung around and collected dust. I just love Kim's work and will probably order more!
ReplyDeleteKim made a wall hanging from Eddie's many NADAC ribbons to commerate his NATCH and Vers-Natch. It was absolutely stunning. I have now boxed up the ribbons from his journey to MACH, and will be sending them off shortly for another wall hanging. Kim has a unique sense of color and design. I would recommend her work to anyone!

Kim was very attentive to detail, has an excellent process for including a photo, plus had excellent communication ongoing and delivered a perfect product! I would (and have) highly recommended her quilts!
ReplyDeleteI can't thank you enough for the beautiful quilt. I always wondered what I was going to do with all of those ribbons. Then a friend from our dog club emailed all of us about your website. I thought they looked great online, but that doesn't even do them justice. They are more than I had hoped for. What a way to remember all of the fun we had competing and everyone else gets to see it too. Thank you so much again for all the hard and long work it took. And to think I don't even like to hem a pair of pants.
ReplyDeleteWell when Kim says she can make up almost anything you want, she really means it. I ordered a few pillows with shelties on them and let Kim pick colors and she helped figure out a design. Absolutely lovely and they will be donated to an upcoming Sheltie rescue fundraising event. Thanks Kim for your great talent! Terry
